We caught a little bit of the sunrise in the morning. It was a beautiful scene over looking the cemetery and the bay in the background. Then we ate breakfast, packed up and headed to Killarney National Park. One the way we drove by Inch Beach and decided to stop to stretch our legs and walk along the beach. Its a long beach that is know for surfing and racing from what I understand. We arrived at the Muckross house, a beautiful Victorian House that the queen herself stayed at one time, and had lunch at the cafe before touring the house. They wouldn’t allow pictures inside the house, but everything was from the 1900th century and had a ton of old furniture and memorabilia.
After touring the house, we headed outside where we were asked if we wanted a buggy ride around the park. We decided to hike instead and started our way to Torc Waterfall, a waterfall that we heard was a few miles walk. Along the way we saw a beautiful lake and gardens with the biggest leaves I have ever seen in my entire life. We also saw a heard of Red Stag Deer grazing right along side some Kerry cows. The same cows that provide the milk for Murphy’s Ice Cream that we had the previous night. After a couple shots of the waterfall we started our way back and realized we were a lot more tired then we thought we would be and grabbed a buggy back to wear we parked.
We arrived at the Bridgeview Farm house B&B around 5:30 along with a few other guests staying at the house. At first we thought that the host was running around with a ton of energy because everyone had arrived at nearly the same time, but later we determined that she keeps herself plenty busy and simply talks fast out of efficiency. Marian was a great host and served us tea and fresh scones upon arrival. After relaxing for a bit, we headed to a nearby restaurant called The Pink Elephant. Jill ordered the Trout, and Shane the Hake. After a lovely dinner, we headed back to the B&B for an early night with plenty of rest.
