Attractions: Visit Friends

Our family was invited for an extended weekend in Texas to hang out with some good friends. We decided to make the trip multipurpose and visit other friends along the way. On our way from Iowa, we stopped to visit one of Jill’s childhood friends in Oklahoma City. We had a great time catching up, grilling, and swimming in their pool.

Once we made to Burleson, we dished out our hugs and then grabbed a drink and headed into the pool. What else do you do when it’s 100+ degrees everyday? We spent the next 3 days almost exclusively right there in the pool. The kids loved it. We had a pretty good time too. Mattix and I tried some golfing on Sunday, it was hot and sticky. He did really well for a 7 year old, but we desperately wanted some air conditioning.

On our way home, we stopped by Kansas City to visit my cousin and her husband. We hung out at a park and got some pizza and gourmet sandwiches. It was a great friend filled trip.
